CÁS-STAIDÉAR: TOMRA Cabhraíonn sé le próiseálaí prátaí na Beilge chun táirgiúlacht a mhéadú

ó Belgium, Van Roey and Zonen explain how TOMRA has helped its potato and onion sorting business to reduce expenditure and boost productivity. They were seeking for an optical sorting solution, trying to meet the customers’ strict requirements and to reduce the accompanying workload.

Bunaithe i 1924, d’fhás Van Roey agus Zonen chun bheith ina ngnó fíor teaghlaigh, ina n-oibríonn dhá ghlúin chun an caighdeán is fearr a bhaint amach.

Is gnó teaghlaigh é Van Roey agus Zonen a dhéanann sainfheidhmiú ar shórtáil agus phacáil prátaí agus oinniúin. Tá fócas faoi leith ag an gcuideachta ar Bintjes agus prátaí céir eile, mar shampla Nicola agus Charlotte. Bailíonn siad a gcuid prátaí go díreach ón bhfeirm agus déanann siad a stór cliathbhoscaí féin a bhainistiú a chuireann ar a gcumas súil ghéar a choinneáil ar an bpróiseas iomlán. De ghnáth déantar a gcuid táirgí prátaí a nite agus a shórtáil agus a phacáil i méideanna ó 2.5 kg go 25 kg.

Dúirt Jef Van Roey, POF na cuideachta: “Is gnó teaghlaigh muid, agus mar thoradh air sin is féidir linn freagairt go tapa agus orduithe a chasadh timpeall go tapa. Toisc go bhfuilimid ag feidhmiú le blianta fada, tá a fhios againn cáilíocht ár dtáirgí taobh amuigh, agus is buntáiste mór é sin. "
I dtosach, chuir an chuideachta margaí mórdhíola ar fáil agus bhí baint aici freisin le soláthar long. Na laethanta seo, soláthraíonn sé ollmhargaí agus mórdhíoltóirí den chuid is mó, a sholáthraíonn ollmhargaí agus / nó bialanna ina dhiaidh sin.

Jef Van Roey explains: “Six years ago we discovered TOMRA, at that time, we were already using an optical sorting machine, but it had become outdated and could no longer cope with customers’ requirements. The demand is for the potatoes to be more and more attractive, with fewer small blemishes. Also, the size of the potato in the bag must be almost uniform for the consumer. That’s why we decided to look for a new optical sorting machine which could simplify our work, enable us to work more quickly and make the financial picture more attractive.”

Before the business decided to join forces with TOMRA, it consulted with other organizations within the industry, who also recommended a TOMRA meaisín.

The processors also add that the previous machine only enabled them to sort according to color, but they mentioned that the new solution from TOMRA delivers much better sorting results on the table and greater still in terms of color sorting. Furthermore, they can now sort in three ways: the dark green and heavily damaged potatoes are processed into cattle feed, the light green potatoes, which feature minimal damage are processed into products such as flour, and the best potatoes are now of even better quality – perfect for the table.

Nathalie Van Roey provides an explanation of the installation of the machine: “As part of the installation process, TOMRA provides a two-day training course. Following that we were given a few weeks to practice, before TOMRA returned to provide additional training, or to answer any questions.

Tá siad sásta freisin nach bhfuil go leor spáis sa mheaisín. Míníonn Jef: “Ní raibh mórán spáis againn; tá an meaisín dlúth go leor, áfach, mar sin níor ghá dúinn an iomarca athruithe a dhéanamh. "

Bhí éifeacht dhearfach ag an suiteáil ar thorthaí airgeadais Van Roey. Dar le Jef: “Tá ár bpróiseas táirgthe simplithe, dúblaigh ár gcumas agus rinneadh an obair láimhe a bhí fágtha i bhfad níos éasca. San am atá caite, phróiseálamar idir seacht agus deich tonna prátaí san uair. Leis an meaisín sórtála nua, is féidir linn an méid sin a láimhseáil faoi dhó go héasca. "
